Philip Tickner

Hospitality Chair / Board

Born in London, but raised in the states, Philip spent twenty years in the hospitality industry making his mark.  The Washington DC metro area has one of the highest HIV infection rates in the country currently, Philip decided to get involved and help make make a difference.  As the Hospitality & Travel Chair, Philip’s responsibilities are to make travel and hotel arrangments for Cherry's weekend DJs and performers.  Throughout the weekend he ensures the DJs and performers get to and from airports and train stations to their hotels and performance venues.

“These performers are here sometimes here for just 12 hours, some longer.  If we can make their time in the Washington DC enjoyable, they will give us their all at their respective booked venues during Cherry Weekend.  Which in turn, will help Cherry's weekend reputation in event ticket sales and passes!  The more funds Cherry can raise, the more we can give back.  We have found our niche!  What better way to raise money for these city wide resources and have fun dancing to some amazing music and performers at the same time? It's a win win for everyone!”
