Kurt Graves

Board Vice President

Kurt was born in New Orleans, but ended up spending most of his childhood in Waveland, MS. Later he moved to Washington, DC in 2002 where he attended Howard University (Go Bison!). Kurt has always had a deep passion for music and contributing back to the community. With his passion for music, he took up DJing in 2010. You may know him as dj TWN..and yes he has a twin brother who is also shares his passion for music and community.  After living in England for a time, Kurt eventually moved back to DC where he continued to pursue his passion.

Kurt eventually joined Cherry which helped strengthen his commitment to our community by giving back and being part of something meaningful. His commitment grew by the tragic passing of several friends due to hardships that individuals in our community encounter. From his own word, “I joined Cherry because I am wanted to make a positive change in our society and to help others who are in less than ideal circumstances. I believe in being a part of the change that you wish to see in the world.”
